What is it and why is it so important?

Continuous use (and misuse) of a chimney during its lifetime makes it essential that checks are made. This will ensure gasses are contained, not leaking into other areas of the house – or worse, seeping undetected into any adjoining property.

Using technology (or good old-fashioned smoke), we can carry out high-pressure testing on all the joints normally inaccessible.

We strongly recommend this procedure as a start when considering recommissioning a fireplace. This will clearly show the condition of the chimney before any further steps are contemplated. We can also combine this with other services we offer.
